La forme "Cantegril" est hybride : "gril" parait être une forme francisée. Nous choisissons donc de rétablir le gascon en "Cantagrith" !

Mise à jour 2017 :
L’IGN écrit "Cantegril" et c’est l’appellation actuelle du château.
La carte d’état major du 19e siècle nous inflige un "Chantegril".
